The absence of these things should not increase your worry.
Blood on your stool is a good reason to call the DR, which you did. Your DR did the right thing by testing for inflammation markers, and then referring you to a GI.
You can have mild inflammation that caused the elevated fecal calprotectin, or you could have an elevated test result for no known reason and just a hemmorrhoid that caused the blood spot on your stool. The GI should help you sort this all out.
Low residue foods are those that have little fiber - things like white rice and cooked veggies and fruit.
