Cramps from Lialda, Canasa, UC, all the above/none of the above?

Hey everyone -

Hope you're all doing well, healing, feeling better. I started flaring in January and my doc upped my Lialda to 4 pills a day (which I take all at once since there wasn't really any direction on that) and one Canasa suppository before night.

Its been much better. Might see a drop of blood here and there, but for the most part BM seem normal and regular without blood. The only thing is that I'm still experiencing stomach cramps. Just curious if anyones experience was that as a result of the UC or could it be the meds?

Do you normally cramp with your UC? I ask because that is my hallmark sign of impending doom and is the last symptom to go away. Bleeding is rare for me because it means I've knowingly allowed a flare to get out of control.

platinumpixie - I've not had many flares in the 5 years I've been diagnosed. (and this is the worst flare I've had) Kind of happy to hear this could be the last symptom - makes me hopeful

I say if you're getting better then you're getting better. Unfortunately every symptom doesn't go away overnight. Sometimes certain symptoms take a long time to disappear.
