Wow, nothing today surprises me.....and ultimately, you've gotten the results you need without the doc that dumped you.

Can the Mayo or your surgery doc refer you to another GI?

Crohn's colitis makes sense as a diagnosis for you.

I as well went to my GI after I had severe pain in my @ss... Turns out it was a fistula that developed and ruptured. Ultimately it turned into a "complex" fistula - so multiple openings or paths. I did not know you were dealing with this as well, but it makes sense again based on your diagnosis now.

Your issues with severe urgency, mucus, pain and all that just seemed different in a way from UC.

It's exciting that you may be taking a biological. Hopefully that will finally bring about some well deserved relief, or even a much welcome break. This darn disease, when flaring makes it almost impossible to accomplish anything.

Until I recently landed in some sort of full remission type state, I didn't quite realize the daily impact it had on me. Hope you find some great success the Entyvio!

I would report this to the state medical board. Seems unethical. Also, to your insurance company.

wow linda, i can't believe you finally got an accurate diagnosis. I really hope this helps you to get better treatment. Entyvio could be a great treatment for you. Did you try Remicade? I can't remember...
