This'll be the last convo I start for a little while, I swear! I'm just new here and excited to get feedback/ideas about
things I've been wondering.
So two weeks ago I started on the Cortenema nightly because I have been flaring since January. I can definitely say that i feel like 70% better than when I started. I still see blood about
2-3 times a day but it's going down in quantity, and I'm having almost normal looking BMs (sometimes) and my urgency is almost completely gone. My colon spasms have almost completely stopped too which is really exciting.
But I really thought I'd be feeling like 100% by now. So that's kind of disappointing that it doesn't feel quite right yet, I guess I just have to keep being patient.
ANYWAY so the real reason why I started this is because I asked my GI doc when I was prescribed this about
how I go tapering off it. She told me that because it was topical and NOT an oral steroid, that I didn't have to worry about
tapering it. But I'm confused because it sounds like several peeps on here definitely had to taper...
P.S.- I got super angry last night when I saw on the box for the cortenemas that an ingredient in them is Polysorbate-80. This emulsifier was JUST found to induce inflammation and colitis in mice.
