I have been on the Cortenema for about 3 weeks now. I can say that my symptoms have significantly improved (no more colon spasms, much less urgency, spending several hours apart from my trips to the bathroom, etc.) It used to be i had to use the bathroom an hour after I ate something. so in that regard I've come a long way! If I look at week to week, I'm definitely improving.
However about a week ago I started getting a little bit of cloudy diarrhea, sometimes right before I had a real BM. It isn't enough to alarm me, and sometimes I wonder if it's actually my Cortenema passing during the day (I take it right before bed and I find that when I try to expel it in the morning, I don't feel it come up, but then again I usually have my worse bleeding symptoms in the morning).
Mostly I'm just so discouraged that I am STILL seeing blood. I probably see it about twice/thrice a day. It's really hard to try to convince yourself that things are improving and that you're getting better when you see blood. It makes you feel like no progress has been made. Is it normal to take this long to get bleeding under control?
