Subsistence strategies in traditional societies distinguish gut microbiomes

Here we go something new and interesting.

Gut bacteria from the amazon,Treponema

Have to look into these if possible,seems to / might be a missing bacteria in the modern industrialized gut.

might be better to look at other differences,

perhaps eating carrots/other stuff out of the garden without washing an approach for us

I believe Jeff Leach (American Gut Project founder) went to live with hunter gatherers in an effort to change his microbiome. He documented the gut bacteria profile here.

I suspect they (hunter-gatherer civilizations) not only have diverse bacteria profiles, but also aren't primed for autoimmunity the same way certain "hygienic" civilizations are. I think the epigenetic factors (exercise, diet, sunlight, stress levels, socialization) mitigate the risks by a substantial amount.
