Which team are you rooting for?

i'm a Habs fan and was on pins and needles last night right up to the last second. I'm sure my neighbours heard me celebrating! Fantastic game and Carey Price is a gracious and humble star. (In addition to being pretty darn handsome!)

Hey Marauder, things are actually looking good for you. Forget the debacle of this last season, the silver lining is it has forced the long-needed rebuild. It looks like they are finally doing it, so you have only better days to look forward to.

Im not going to hold my breath. Weve been in rebuild more forever :p But you are right, this looks like more of a rebuild than before. Theres really no excuse for TO not being a top 5 team consistently with their money and fan base

Well I think that's actually part of the problem... fans keep buying tickets no matter how bad the team is. It wasn't until people here started losing interest and games stopped selling out that they realized they needed to make some changes. Not that they've gone far enough yet but at least they did something.

Can you believe how close Toronto came to winning the Connor McDavid sweepstakes?? Wouldn't that have been something...

I agree 100%. Its all about the money for the upper management, and until that is threatened, nothing will change.

I prayed for McDavid, but we never really had much of a chance. That being said, both he and Stamkos are big Leafs fans having grown up near TO. Actually McDavid is from my home town and Stamkos is from a town about 10 mins from my house. Small world!

Really! That is cool. Well who knows, sometimes these star players want to eventually come play for their home teams, they'll even take a hometown discount on their contracts.
