all these body aches but not caused by prednisone??

This is so frustrating, I have MUSCLE ACHE and hip pain. I dont know what it could be I am fearful of dvt but my arms hurt too.
(I feel like I am the only one with muscle pains with my uc)
Everywhere I search it just says prednisone or humira.
I am just on lialda.
And the hip pain is obnoxious it is painful especially when I walk
I also have joint and neck pain but I know that is common with uc.
(I was diagnosed this year aswell so this is all new to me.)
Is there anything I can do about this pain??

if muscle and joint pain is from general inflammation secondary to UC, pred can help - but it is a short term rescue drug. So that is not really a solution.

I would work to get your UC under control, and hope the other ailments resolve. If they don't you might pursue stronger UC drugs, or seek additional diagnoses. But the sad short story is you need to give your UC treatment some time.

If you seriously think you have a DVT you just need to go and have a blood test. D Dimer test can rule it out. If it results (you get in a matter of hours) are elevated you have a scan. If DVT is found you just have blood thinners to stop it getting worse whilst it is left to your body to absorb the clot. Madness to worry just find out.
