rapid (overnight) weight gain/ fluctuation

Recently i have been noticing extreme weight gain and fluctuation.

I always used to be about 10st
I then went to 9.7lbs
then after my diagnosis 9st.
with little change for the past 10 months, all of a sudden i am gaining weight for no new reason.

I can put on as much as 7lbs over night! I really dont understand whats going on or how to prevent this!!

Has anyone else experienced this?
Any tips on what to do or how to stop it?

All i can think of is water retention. My GP says this isnt the case as this only happens if your heart/kidneys are failing!

Please advise because this is crushing my confidence!

Are you taking resistant starch? I've noticed weight gain and suspect it's the potato starch that's causing it. Unfortunately, I already weigh too much so the extra weight isn't good.

But I'm certain the potato starch is keeping me healthy so I can't/won't stop it.

ditto gary.

i've only had this happen on prednisone. i gained 40 lbs in 2 days. couldn't walk, lift my arms, or get up from the bed. 90 lbs-130 lbs. very hard on my body and this lasted for about a month until i started tapering. i still have stretch marks from my skin expanding so quickly.
