How do you expect any of us to help you without giving us any info? What treatments are you doing now and what treatments have you done in the past? There's really only one way to stop the bleeding and that is to get your flare under control.

so sorry about
not giving more info I have had uc since 1980 and am being treated with asacol. Once before when I had a flare I supplemented the asacol with omega 3 and aloe. I was hoping something new has been tried. thanks

You might want to read the resources thread at the top of the page. It has a lot of info. What does your GI say?

I don't think putting all these supplements (which often don't even contain what they claim to) into your body is going to solve bleeding. You should try rowasa enemas.

Ok so you have had UC for 30+ years and only been on asacol? Well there are lots of other UC drugs. I suggest talking to your GI and letting him know you are flaring. He can tell you what would be the best course of action for you depending on your inflammation etc.

How bad are your uc symptoms number of bms a day, urgency, and consistency? For some bleeding is the very last symptom to go. Do you have a history of hemorrhoids?
Ditto on trying a prescript
ion uc rectal medication (either canasa suppository or rowasa enema) as it treats the rectum, where uc-related bleeding often comes from.
