just the thought of moving when it's this hot make me sweat -

even a bowel movement is too much exertion !

I hope you have air conditioning? We very rarely see temps that high here in Michigan but when we do, you can bet us northerners melt into puddles. Stay cool! cool

We're breaking records up here in Vancouver Canada too, I hate the heat! No air conditioning either so I'm trying to stay cool in my basement, it's not working very well.

Yeah we don't tend to have air conditioning here in the Vancouver area. My husband has been sleeping in the basement but I've been toughing it out upstairs. Cool shower before bed and blast the fan.

sunday was a 3 shower day cool

wow, it's hotter there than here. It was about 95 yesterday here but now it's rainy. I love rain because i don't see it often. lol, you wouldn't last down here...

So glad I live in the UK where we don't have to deal with this barbaric heat. It's a whopping 55F in my town right now D:

Ugh, tell me about it, yesterday we sat at plus 34 degrees celcius in Alberta (93.2 F) by the time I went to be just past midnight it was still 24 C. Definitely to hot for me to handle anymore, I used to love the heat but the last 10 yrs not so much.

Wow, you Canadian folk are hotter then us in MI! We are at 80F today and for rest of the week.

Doesn't matter where we live...heat waves happen all across Canada, even in the north. The humidity is the killer for me, and even at 20C...it can be exhausting.

We're in the 23 - 25C mark most of the week..just went through rain/hail storms. The pressure is low but not bad since it's steady at this point.

I feel for anyone in extreme hot temps....take it easy and get a few fans to move the air around. Just don't sit in front of a fan since it can actually dehydrate you.

How are the animals during this time, js?

Blow the fan over water, or better yet, over ice. It's called a "Swamp Cooler" and works wonders!

one thing i've noticed this year Heather - the 5 cats that are inny/outies don't seem to like the a/c any more than i do - they have been spending more time outside on these hellish-hot days than they were when it was in the 70's -

and like me, both the cats and dogs are pretty much comatose in this kinda heat - they stick pretty close and barely move for anything except maybe the occasional wild boar stampede -

neither one of the dogs like water other than drinking - we tried water tanks and sprinklers many years ago - nope - so not much we can do besides keep the dishes full -

they just hang out in the shade mostly - and they don't like laying in the grass - they lay in the driveway under our big pine trees -

the donkey's ? they just exist - not much seems to faze them !

I love living in a sunny climate, but I cannot stand too much heat, it drains me, luckily it never gets too hot in Costa Rica. I used to live in the Middle East and that was just brutal!! my steering wheel used to melt on my car, that is a seriously hot place to live!! I cannot ever envisage myself living in a cold climate though, I think it would depress me.
