I had my scope today and I got a RX for oral Salofalk. Told my GI that before she used to prescribe Oral salofalk with the retal meds and I fell my flares back then would get better pretty fast, like 2 or 3 weeks and I was sometimes symptoms free.
So she agreed with no problems to give me a RX for the oral. She said that even if inflammation is only in the rectum and that in theory the oral don't reach there some gets absorbed and it may help.
No more enema just supositiries in the mornings and Cortifoam at nights with 6 Salofalk pills a day. I'll see her back in 8 weeks. She told me to call if I get worse and she will see me ASAP. I guest it paid to be annoying, though I did not fell comfortable doing so. But, I fell such relief I did not have to wait a month.
So now I just hope it will works as before and I'll still be part of the lucky ones with occasional short flares.
