I was under the impression 6mp/methotrexate type drugs were only used to prevent us from making antibodies to the biologics?  Is this not the case?

So sorry to hear this. Maybe trying some herbal remedies like slippery elm, fish oil, or coconut water. I have tried all three and they have seemed to help. I hope you heal well, and soon!

Nope, they can be used to supress the immune system. I think with UC, MTX is mostly used for the purpose your state. 6mp/imuran are both used stand alone for UC with or without biologics

Hi everyone! Wanted to update you. Had a sigmoid, showed minor inflammation nothing exciting. Dr. Allowed me to use hydrocortisone suppositories twice a day for a few weeks. Also, we are going to do the blood test to check my levels for 6mp and if he can, he will increase it. Thank you all for your advise and support!

That sounds like a good plan and mild inflammation isn't too bad so that's positive! Sounds like you're on the mend :)
