Mesalamine (Lialda) and Vertigo

Added detail: Interestingly enough, this seems to be coinciding with my Lialda ceasing to work well. I am heading farther into UC troubles each day.

I was Lialda for a few months and it really helped at first. I was taking two in the am and two in the pm. The amount of blood in my stool decreased a lot. Then after about four months I started to feel sick every day kind of like morning sickness with motion sickness, nausea, smell sensitivity and rumbling stomach. I even took a pregnancy test. After two weeks of being sick every day. I just didnt take my Lialda to see if that was causing the sickness which I dont recommend because that comes along with some sickness as well. But what I was able to determine that the Lialda was making me sick. I called my doctor and he said that nausea is not not a usual side affect try taking it 3 days and see if the nausea comes back. I did start again I could tell within a few hours that it was making me sick. Instead of quitting cold turkey this time I tapered off with one at night and one in the morning for a couple days.
Im not sure now if I am sensitive to the suppositories and have taken a break from using them. I am still using Uceris which seems to have quit working as well.
I was just able to get my doctor to prescribe LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone (I found the info for this on healing well.) And I am currently adding herbal supplements and going off of wheat and dairy as of tomorrow. Trying my hardest to avoid infusion treatments.

Gosh. I am just a wreck lately. I have been having vertigo for a few weeks but it has been especially bad this past week. Does anyone know of a connections between Lialda (mesalamine) and vertigo or just plain dizziness? I read that mesalamine toxicity can result in vertigo. Truth? I have been on the max dose (4 a day) for over a year.

For those of you. Who don't know, I'm 33 and female. Not sure if that makes a difference to the dizziness discussion.

I just tried Lialda after over 10 years, no problem, on Asacol. After 5 days I started with bad vertigo, nausea, abdominal cramps, etc. The vertigo had me the most worried. My symptoms went away quickly when I switched back to my remaining Asacol.

It sounds like the only real difference between Asacol and Lialda is the coating (https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=38&p=1&m=3590837) so I probably have a bad reaction to that.
