Entyvio update after 2nd infusion.

So on Tuesday I had 2nd infusion of Entyvio. I am not sure if it's working just yet. My BMs are cut down to 2-3 per day from 6-8 but I still have lots of gas and mucus (while passing gas and stool). still seeing blood on tissue and few drops in the toilet after passing formed/semi-formed stools. At night I have to get up 3-4 times but mostly because of gas. Once I pass stool in the morning, I am fine during the day(with 2-3 BMs). I am also taking VSL3 DS and Himalaya Diarcare(Ayurvedic med). what do you guys think, has Entyvio started working. I know its too early to say anything but just want to know other ppl's opinion who have had Entyvio. Thanks.

If you're having 2-3 per day and 3-4 per night, that's 5-7 per 24 hours. It's not the worst but it's not the best. It sounds like yo'uve had a lot of improvement though, it's likely you will continue to improve. Be patient.

Does sound like some improvement, and considering Entyvio can take 10-14 weeks to kick in it sounds like things are on the right track. I hope you have a better sense of things by your 3rd dose.

I just started yesterday and am hopeful but the patience part is going to be hard for the next couple months, as I hope my current pred dose keeps me in a manageable, if flaring, state.

You know what's crazy? During my last infusion the infusion nurse had said something to the effect of "It's weird that you haven't responded yet. Other people on entyvio in this infusion center have seen some sort of response by now" sort of implying that post infusion 1 or 2 people are reporting positive things. While this is entirely possible the studies on vedo show earliest response at 6 weeks (47%), I haven't found anything regarding response during early induction. Hang in there. Maybe look into taking Imuran or 6mp (take you another 6-8 weeks to see effect with that class of drug) + entyvio to help give things the old one two punch. If you feel yourself slipping now get on uceris for a few weeks until you are 6-10 weeks in.

I've been on it since mid May, I'm doing much better but only really much better since I started flagyl. I must had a gut bug or my fistula never healed, cuz it's helping me so much now. mayo clinic said give it four months so my next infusion is. This month on sept 28th so we will see if that's my great turning point.
