Just wondering if anyone know personally a GI, DX with UC, trying to work his way to a magic bullet pill (I'm to afraid to say cure)...

A number of researchers have IBD or family with IBD. A few people here have physicians who have IBD themselves (but they may not be researchers).

However you do not need to have IBD to be working on better therapies.

There's always new research and treatments in development, however, nobody knows what causes uc nor do they know how to cure it. I'd like to hope that they'll be a cure someday, however, whether it'll be in my lifetime... who knows... I'm quite pessimistic about it.

In four years I guess Ill fit that role? But I know of a number of GIs who also have IBD. Its more common than youd think
