Has Remicade ever caused anyone to flare?

I started remicade on 9/10 and I just spent 5 days in the hospital with the worst flare up I've ever had. No steroids are working, nothing is helping I'm running to the restroom about every hour, life is miserable. Before the remicade, I wasn't well (blood still every time and about 5-6 BMs a day but at least they were semi formed and I could hold it a little bit), but now I'm absolutely horrible. Has anyone seen this type of digression with remicade?

Remicade won't make your symptoms worse, but your flare might've worsened since 9/10, or you might've contracted cdiff. You've had only one remi dose, and very few are healed within that short of time. It's going to take 2-3 remi infusions to get a positive response, if you're going to get one.

Hey iPoop,

it's actually been 3. 1 on 9/10 1 on 9/24 and 1 on 10/18. I was tested for cdiff multiple times most recently this past Friday in the hospital and it was negative. My UC just progressed really badly. Was wondering if remicade could have caused this, i'll try 1 more infusion (#4) at a double dose and see if it works if not, my doc wants to try entyvio else it's surgery for me.
