Blood.

I know it sounds bizarre but I have been having problems or weeks with urgency, frequency, stomach cramps, bloatedness. All of the signs of a flare but with no blood.

My ID nurse didn't think I was flaring but after no improvement with symptoms after increasing my Lialda and using enemas every night, finally I am having sigmoidoscopy on Wednesday.

I was worried they wouldn't find anything so now, even though blood is a bad sign, there must be some inflammation in there.

If your ibd nurse doesn't believe you than there is a problem.
At the scope let your doctor know.

I feel absolutely deflated and frustrated to say the least. I spent the whole of yesterday in the bathroom and today with lower abdominal pain and spasms as well as blood. Please don't tell me I shouldn't be in pain with proctosigmoiditis. The amount of squeezing through tenemus that part of my colon has done must be causing this pain.

Role on Wednesday, but in the meantime I need to get through two days of work.
