I was just informed that Medicare will not pay for my 0.375 Apriso.
I contacted Canadian Meds and they can get me Octasa 400mgMR for $170.00 for 3 months instead of $520 for one month of Apriso retail. My doctor wrote a prescript
ion for the 400mg Mesalazine tablets. Take 2 in am and 2 in pm. I haven't tried them yet because I still have some Apriso left. It seems that all drugs come from overseas. This is from Great Britian. Also, I have never had a flare up, just diagnosted from my colonoscopy 2 years ago. The doctor said I was highly inflamed and have UC. He gave me the meds for Apriso 0.375. Is anyone having a problem with the costs of this drug? Thanks for your help. Trini01

Yes, there's a lot of posts lately about
medications no longer being covered, some have ordered from Canada, like you have. Good luck,

Can you switch your Medicare drug plan. Different plans have different formularies. It's that time of year to shop plans. Also there are lots of drugs available. Probably in the same class. Talk to your doctor?
