Does anybody only experience pain?

I'm really confused. I was diagnosed with UC in August. Ive never really shown typical symptoms. Only one thing really...pain. A whole lot of pain. Last 3 weeks in particular its been bad. idont feel like eating. I've dropped about 10 pounds in three weeks. Anybody just have pain? Long term pain? No blood in stool or anything like that. Just pain. Horrible pain. I guess I'm concerned about something else other than UC.

I did experience blood and mucus which is what led me to get checked out but I never experienced the diarrhea and urgency that most get. Instead I also get the pain. Hurts so bad I can't lift my head to drink water to take my pills pain. Lost 18lbs in 11 days because I couldn't eat pain. Pain that is only slightly better when I'm on the toilet or in the bathtub. And pain that was so bad that I went to the hospital and ended up staying for 10 days in August, was out of work for a month then and in October.

So yep, I hear you. If it's that bad, go to the hospital. Don't let them send you home. Get the fluids and pain meds you need.

There are days where the pain is more and the blood is less but they usually go hand and hand. (for me at least). Have you had a recent catscan or colonoscopy? Just worried that there might be a blockage. Your GI can give you meds for the pain. Tramadol is my favorite because I can continue to work on it and it doesn't seem to hurt the mobility of the colon like some other pain killers do. But if the pain gets to be a 10 then you should probably go back to the hospital.
