Just got home today. Surgery went well and I'm handling food well. I have consistent gas pain throughout the day. Idk if this goes away in time or what but whenever my stoma is gonna pass gas I know ahead of time because I get a pretty bad cramping pain. It's a bit hard moving around and getting up from a laying down position because of my incision pain, I also feel a straining in my stoma area as well when trying to move, not sure if that's normal or not. I have an urgency to poop about twice a day and a little bit of liquid comes out, mucus and blood. Today I think I had anal discharge as well that I didn't feel come out but I noticed it being there some point after the fact, not sure if this is normal either. I have problems that aren't post op related that I'm dealing with such as severe joint pain, fast heart rate, 60 lb weight loss so my strength needs to be regained, my blood pressure drops for about a minute as well when I go from lying down to sitting up so recovering for me will be a bit longer. Digestive wise I feel better, im glad the disease is gone and I'm excited for my life to be back in a few months.
