Turmeric Brands - suggestions

The thing with turmeric/curcumin is that you need to be taking around 100mg per kg of body weight for it reach a therapeutic level in your body.

Also, just powdered turmeric, like the spice, will not absorb well on its own. Pepper helps with absorption or some pills come mixed with bioperine or peperine.

I had ordered Life Extension Super Bio Curcumin. In each 400mg capsule, it says you get about 2,775mg of actual curcumin because it has 7 times better absorption due to the bioperine. When I first ordered it I was just taking one pill a day because that's what the bottle said. I didn't notice any difference and recently stopped taking it. I should have been taking 3 pills a day though but I just learned this info fairly recently.

I might get back on it in a week or so. Trying some other things right now so I don't want to add too much stuff at once and then not know what exactly is helping.

I'll ditto the suggestion for life extension. They're my go to brand for high quality, optimized formulations and I've tried their Curcumin. It didn't seem to do much for me at the time but based on your first reply I was probably taking too little.

You can order their products directly at lef.org but to get the best price you have to order 4 bottles. Amazon has most of their products so that's probably a better choice to get one bottle to try it out.

i use jarrow's 95 and life extension brands. both are very high quality and have the same ingredients but the life extension is way more concentrated so you only need 1-2 per day.
