Small bowel capsule endescopy?

Can anyone tell me more about it? I have a relative that did one and it got stuck and required hospitalization a few years ago so the idea of doing this makes me nervous. Plus everytime I've done the colonoscopy prep I've vomited so the idea of having to swallow a big pill camera also makes me nervous about being able to. Will it be easier than I think? Thanks!

I had it done once and it was a piece of cake. They dipped the capsule in water with a mix of some type of oil to make swallowing easier. It really wasn't hard at all to swallow. You'll wear a pack around your waist for the day as the camera transmits photos to the pack for the doctor to download at the end of the session. There is no prep to do, they just told me to stop eating at a certain point before the cam gets swallowed.
