I'm currently on prednisone and Imuran and pentasa how does your medication make you feel. Does anyone have any side effects of them like mentally

Very few get side effects from imuran or pentasa. There's only two things certain in life, paying taxes and prednisone side effects. Everyone gets prednisone side effects, examples include: insomnia, night sweats, energy bursts (like cleaning the whole house at 2am), an insatiable appetite (eating a large meal and being starving 15 minutes later), weight gain (see prior side effect), bloating, moonface, acne, wild mood swings, exaggeration of your existing psychiatric issues, etc.

I'm currently on Lialda and Canasa but have been on prednisone twice in the past. It makes PMS and Menopause look like a walk in the park. I pitied everyone that lives with me.

It's the prednisone that's messing with your head. For me it means anxiety, paranoia, uncharacteristically negative thoughts and a very short temper.

Prednisone is famous for messing with your head, guaranteed that's what's causing you issues but thankfully Pred is generally just temporarily used and once it's out of your system after you've tapered off of it then things will likely go back to the way they were.

Prednisone is a double edged sword. Can literally save your life, but at the same time, completely messes with your head. In the past, I've had "roid rages", weight gain, uncontrollable eating and horrible depression. I absolutely refuse to be on it anymore as it's not safe for me.

Luckily, I've found IVIG and that has helped tremendously. I'm also on pentasa and rectal meds. You aren't alone in this disease or side effects. They are brutal. And yes, you will start to feel like yourself again!

Thankyou so much for the replies I really hope I feel like my self more soon it really feels like I'm permanently like this because I can't remember how to be like my told self :(
