I don't really have any food allergies except for gluten, but that is a whopper. No beer, no pizza, NO BREAD, etc. I really miss sandwiches and having toast in the morning, but those are serious triggers for me.
I know Udi's has gluten-free bread but for me that causes as many symptoms as regular bread. No surprise if you look at Udi's ingredients list, (I underlined possible problem ingredients that might explain why it gives me trouble):
WATER, TAPIOCA STARCH, BROWN RICE FLOUR, CANOLA OIL, EGG WHITES, POTATO STARCH, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, TAPIOCA
MALTODEXTRIN, DRIED CANE SYRUP, TAPIOCA SYRUP, YEAST, GUM (
XANTHAN GUM, SODIUM ALGINATE, GUAR GUM), SALT, LOCUST BEAN GUM, CULTURED
CORN SYRUP SOLIDS AND CITRIC ACID (MOLD INHIBITOR), ENZYMES.
Anyway I found a gluten-free bread from DeLand Bakery. These are its only ingredients:
oat bran, oatmeal flour, filtered water, sea salt, and baking powder.
That's it. I have been enjoying it for months now without any hint of triggering symptoms. It's great to once again add toast with my breakfast in the morning.
DeLand Bakery is located in DeLand, Florida. Your profile indicates you live in Florida. Perhaps you can find it at a local food coop or progressive grocery store. I would say it tastes as good or better than regular bread, (but I forgot how wheat bread tastes lol).
