Help

I have just had my second infusion. I was very tired after the first infusion, but a less so for the second. I didn't drive even to the second infusion just in case I felt tired. Everyone's response to the drug is different - it is definitely helping me but it can take a while according to what I've read. Hopefully she will respond well. For some patients, they feel great very soon afterwards with better appetite.

I'm in complete remission (that is no uc symptoms) for the first time thanks to remicade.

I've had 6 infusions and I still get really tired. I didn't take Tylenol before a few and had headaches after each of those but since adding Tylenol I haven't had any headaches.

I'm not in complete remission yet but I feel much much better. I'd say I'm 85% there which is pretty darn good. A lot of people need to play with frequencies and dosages including me so remember to be patient. It's not an overnight cure for most of us.

There's 60-65 percent odds it'll help your daughter. Unfortunately, nothing's 100 percent guaranteed, when it comes to any potential uc treatment. Biologics work fairly quickly, you should know within 6 weeks whether it will work for her (during the initial loading doses). Try and remain positive

Thanks Strykme for replying it was very helpful as you say watching them go through all this is very upsetting my daughter was 18 when she nearly lost her life to u c but thanks to some amazing doctors she is still with us . I truly hope your daughter continue to improve she is so young finger crossed for her thanks again Jackie
