how long until bleeding stops on salofalk

Hello

I'm sure this has been posted loads before.

I'm in some kind of mini-flare where the only symptom is blood.

I was getting loads of gurgling noises/rectal spasms, light cramping (which may have been my period), a tiny bit of urgency, and i think mucus, but that seems to have all but gone :)

I am still getting light blood on the tp and bits on the smaller enema remains when it comes out in the morning.

no pain, perfect poos, very regular - i go once in the morning after breakfast.

I've been using the salofalk enemas nightly for just over a week now.

How long do they usually take to clear up blood and are they even low enough to get to fresh rectal blood?

The last time i used them solidly i was also on steroids so not bleeding, and suppositories never fully cleared up my blood.

i find the asacol suppositories very uncomfortable to have in whilst im at work.

any reassurance would be welcome :)

Is a month when blood should stop?

I've been feeling a lot better than when i had gurgling mucus.

would blood ever be brown?

I know whenever ive bled before its been bright red/pink or dark purple when i was really flaring.


Its just so disheartening to see these reminders of having chronic disease :(

But at least im not in a full colon flare as i have been previously!
