For those of you who don't already know of my current issue, I'm pregnant and started flaring. Tried a medrol pack and it hardly helped. Now, I'm just passing blood tinged mucus. I'm completely freaked out. I'm still taking my 4 Lialda, but that has obviously stopped working.

I have an appt with my doctor on Friday. Emailed him yesterday though because my stupid MyChart account doesn't work properly and I wanted to give him an update that he would actually see. All I got back was a snappy email saying that I should use MyChart instead of email...well, I would if it worked! Meanwhile, I'm pregnant, crabby, and flaring out of control and I want to know if there is something I can do right now. Guess I'll have to suffer until Friday at the very least.

Whoops...should have included that. I'm still using Canasa. The Budesonide suppositories stopped working.

ok, that's good i guess - but if nothing is helping, then that sucks !

what are your other current symptoms besides the B & M ?

Maybe try mesalamine enemas and use the supps for during the day?

I was also thinking to add enemas...either mesalamine or steroid if that isn't cutting it. I am sorry that you have to go through this--hope u feel better soon. Hate dealing with Dr. offices as well. All part of the UC fun.

How far along are you? When I was pregnant with my daughter, the first trimester was the worst! But after that, thankfully I stabilized. During the horrible time, enemas were my best friend!

I'm 26 weeks right now so I'm getting there! I am definitely going to ask again about enemas. This madness has got to stop!

It will be worth to try them...and do use the suppositories during the day. ask for enough refills to give them a fair chance.

Hope they help to get things more controlled.

So after talking, I'm getting a prescription for Uceris foam. Hope it does the trick!

Good luck and keep us posted. I understand that the foam is pretty new so hopefully it isn't hard to get or very $$. Hope this can be brought under control once and for all!

Thanks! Really hoping that this works. I was warned that my insurance may not cover this, but was surprised to find out from my pharmacy that it is actually covered and can be ready on Monday. It's $40, but I'm also going to try to use the Uceris discount card. My GI told me that some people have had to pay $800. Whew...dodged that bullet!!
