Hey guys. I started taking Apriso 2 years ago. about 4 months ago, my GI upped my dosage to 8 pills a day instead of 4. Since then, I have lost about 15 pounds, and I do not need to lose any weight. Has anyone else experienced this? I also recently got put on an antacid once a day for acid reflux.

if the dose was upped in response to symptoms, it would be hard to say the weight loss was related to med instead of UC.

I am on 6 a day and doing fine as far as weight goes. As a matter of fact I am back on WW and going to gym and walking daily to keep weight down.

I lose when I am i a flare, fast😥

Are you not on any rectal meds. If not...that might be a way to go before upping the apriso.

What are your symptoms of flaring?

Have you cut out any types of foods? Are you doing lots of exercise?

Rapid weight loss is a symptom of a uc flare. How many times a day do you poop, what's the urgency, any blood?
