Over the last couple of months I noticed a some small black/purple patches on my feet which were slightly tender. My GP said told me it was Vasculitis which is strange as it is not commonly thought of as being an extraintestinal symptom of UC. Moreover, the meds I'm on for UC are those most effective in treating Vasculits (Imuran).

I am passing small amount of mucus here and there but am relatively stable in terms of my bowels. I was wondering if anyone else has had trouble with Vasculitis or skin conditions in general? Would appreciate any thoughts! :-)

If it is vasculitis they may want to do a few more investigations because vasculitis can present almost identically to IBD leading to misdiagnosis. Consider asking your doc about pANCA and cANCA blood tests as these can be used to differentiate IBD from ANCA-associated vasculitis. Im going through this as we speak

Hmm quite concerning. Although my diagnosis was changed to indeterminate colitis as it doesn't present the classic signs so I would not be surprised if that is the case.

I have always had extraintestinal symptoms such as inflamed eyes, some nosebleeds etc. I assumed that they were UC related but I may be wrong.

Have suffered similar symptoms Marauder93?

Vasculitis usually presents with respiratory, kidney, and skin issues and sometimes with GI symptoms so its quite possible that that is your issue. The diseases are almost indistinguishable on endoscopy and biopsy.

I have only had GI issues so Im pretty sure I do have UC but Im making sure before surgery.
