Colonoscopy Prep Drink for active Ulcerative Colitis

Anyone recommend any good natural drinks, or OTC drinks to drink for prepping for the dreadful colonoscopy. Obviously living with Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's and in an active flare, the prep drink can further aggravate our symptoms.

Depends on how many times you're going; but you may not need a prep. This is the first time in years that I've actually needed a little help with it. All of my scopes have been done without any prep.

I'm just using coffee for mine tomorrow (as an experiment) but my GI knows of my plans.

I've always used the Miralax OTC prep mixed with gatorade. My GI said it doesn't clean me out as well as the script preps but it's the best tasting one I've found.

i had a colonoscopy last week and i'm in an active flare (controlled somewhat by prednisone, but still there). my doctor didn't offer not prepping as an option. i used the prepopik prep (it's a prescription prep) and it of course wasn't pleasant, but much better than expected, and better than the moviprep that i did last time!

good luck with the prep and the procedure :)

I found the miralax/Gatorade prep by far the most tolerable (and palatable) prep. I was always flaring when I had to have scopes and many of the others just left me gagging and vommiting.
