I think a trip out there could be a good idea too. You can help get him back on track. You know all the tricks and the medical options. If anyone can make a difference, it is you. You can help get the correct documentation and find out what's really going on, perhaps get him to get another opinion if you don't like his current GI. At the same time, traveling across the country is not the easiest, especially when you have UC.

Notsosick: Thanks, the funny part is the Gi has now mentioned twice that I am not a doctor.
The second time I was not even talking to her.
I cant argue with that, I am not a doctor.
Been dealing with the GI medical profession since 1980, I get the distinct impression they do
not like patient advocates, my other impression is don't question god's decisions.

How is your son making out? I think this should be a few weeks on Pred... I was wondering how he will do once he begins to taper.

Started pred taper today from 40mg-35mg.

Well, hope all goes well. Maybe keep on him to just relax and take it easy as best he can during the taper instead of stressing over work etc.
