Have you tried any other medications? When my UC was less aggressive, I was able to treat it with Asacol alone. Many of us also use rectal meds to keep things managed...
If you've been on Humira for 3 months, you've probably seen the results you're going to see. Do you have a great week right after administering it and then it wears off? If that is the case, then YES, every week would definitely be a great option. If you're just not having that much of a response to humira, I would try adding some of the other stuff I've mentioned. There are also drugs, like 6mp, that can be added that can help reduce the inflammatory response. There is Uceris, a topical ER steroid that releases in the colon, that's an 8 week course and may nip things in the bud...
On the other hand, remicade is pretty much the "king" when it comes to UC biologics. No other biologic has quite as high of a success rate. Some would say entyvio does, but I have seen way less response from reading here and what I've seen isn't 100% remission, but improvement over a longer period of time. I hate to say it, but by the time you get to taking entyvio, you will take what you can get so far as results. If you're pooping your pants once a week, you may say you're in remission to stop the progression toward surgery. Good luck!!
