Ever had trouble kicking a cold/upper respiratory infection on prednisone?

Hi all!

I am 39 weeks pregnant, scheduled for a csection on Monday, on prednisone, and I've had an upper respiratory infection all week. FUN TIMES!

Anyway, I was put on amoxicillin which seems to be doing nothing. I'm wondering if the prednisone is preventing me from getting better. I'm only on 10mg a day at this point. Anyone ever had this happen? I will do anything to get better at this point before the baby arrives (which hopefully won't be until Monday because I don't want to be sick for delivery)!!

Prednisone does put you at risk for infections. Isn't the 10th your scheduled day? I hope you can stay healthy until you have the baby. Remicade isn't recommended with a cold/flu so you will have to get it managed before you begin. What a pain in the butt. I am sorry.
