Colonoscopy causes flares?

Felt pretty good before my colonoscopy last week and since I've been in a flare.
Gas touch of diarrhea and blood.
Do the scopes cause flares to occur?
Also how far apart should I take asacol? currently I'm taking two at around 7am then two at around 12pm
My head is feeling foggy last couple of days so I'm wondering if its too close together?

I don't believe colonoscopy causes flares. I know the prep and procedure can temporarily aggravate/wosten our symptoms for at least several days afterwards (harsh prep, a little bit of blood/mucus in stools). Uc is autoimmune (or at least an immune deficiency) and therefore a sufficient amount of underlying inflammation must be present for our symptoms to worsen.

How were your scope results? Get your biopsy results yet?

Scopes can ecxaberate symptoms and possibly cause flares. Not sure why, maybe prep, physical trauma of scope or even residue of cleaner on the scope

Blood and mucous can indicate inflammation so...
