Went bk. to GI for follow up yesterday, now tapering to 10mg. for two weeks, then 5mg. for two weeks then OFF! WOO HOO! Am currently on IMURAN, week three for who knows how long. LOL
My question is, WHEN will I start seeing the side effects go away?? I have read some posts say NOW is the magic time when you taper to 10 mg. then have seen some say AFTER you are totally off of it. I know everyone is different but wondered what to expect now. I am soooo sick of my clothes fitting so tight and wonder if I will lose any poundage which I guess actually is pretty much fluid retention and get my old body back or will it stay this way? Yes, I will admit, some days I want to eat the corner off the house! HA HA I try and watch it knowing no matter what 3500 = 1 pound. Granted, I was very sick when I started this round of the "Necessary Evil" and weighed 111 pounds (5"1") and now am weighing between 119-123. That's my normal weight range but feel and look spongy/fluffy..not like normal so guess that's the wonderful Prednisone at its best? LOL I really jumped up on the scale about
7 pounds the second week I was taking it. GRR! : ( Yep, nothing you haven't heard before.
My side effects are DAILY BLOAT/Budda Belly (and I usually have a pretty flat tummy..VERY MISERABLE), luckily no moon face, sometimes my hands are shaky, think my vision is off (more than usual..LOL-blurred), HOT FLASHES which I learned that is a side effect (new one on me), think that it is.
Your thoughts. TU so much and hope today is a MUCH better day than yesterday for everyone!
