Haha they'd seriously help one have the will and fortitude to make it through a prep. Seriously, good luck.

Actually, I was once visiting my aunt the day she was on clear fluids for her colonoscopy prep and she was drinking gin, quite a bit of it at that. I have no idea how her scope went, but she was pretty happy!

I love that!!! I'm actually surprised. I haven't even started the liquid prep and the dulcolax already kicked in. Could be a loooong night. And my husbands flight just got cancelled so I'm scrambling to find a back up driver. Bring in the gin!!!

Actually I thought of (jokingly) asking my GI about
that... alcohol seems to act like colon prep on me sometimes anyway!

Funny but clear alcohol (wine, vodka, no mixers) acts like 12 hour Immodium on my gut, next morning back to normal. But red wine=prep, stay close to toilet.

Red wine would be prohibited. Red and purple liquids are forbidden because they can leave residue that looks like blood. White wine and vodka are clear liquids, but I doubt you'd be able to absorb enough to get the effect.

Whenever I get my scope instructions, in bold and underlined letters it states: CLEAR ALCOHOL DOES NOT COUNT AS AN ACCEPTABLE CLEAR LIQUID!!!!!! Lol
Good luck! :)
