Any experience with Dr. Toyooki Sonoda at NY Presbyterian?

I have a consult scheduled with him for a resection or possible colectomy. Has anyone used him before? Thanks!

I had my surgeries with Dr. Michelassi at NYP, so I can't speak about Dr. Sonoda. The hospital is amazing, private rooms for the GI surgery patients and the nurses on the floor are great.

The food is awful at the hospital, I would have friends and family bring me food or sneak down the cafeteria.

I used to go to Mt. Sinai and I really prefer NYP.

Thanks for the feedback, Keith. I'm very nervous about having surgery but hearing that you had a good experience at NYP makes me feel better!

If you go back to the hospital for another doctor's appointment before your surgery then head over to the 14th floor to Colorectal Surgery Floor and speak to some of the nurses in private about Dr. Sonoda. You'll probably can get some good info out of them.

Maybe in speak with the Ostomy nurse, I forget her name but she was great.

I had very little pain from my Colectomy, the pain management team was great.
