I am taking care of proctitis with natural supplements and diet. Proctitis is kind of healing but the tenesmus continues to stay. I am thinking of using entocort foam for that. What is the minimum number of days that entocort can be used without tapering?

Generally tapering isn't needed for rectal route steroids, unless you've been on them for extended periods of time (that is months or many months) as they're only 10 percent systematic and 90 percent topical. So, the total effective systematic dose is really small (especially compared to 100 percent systematic prednisone).

So I can use it until the inflammation subsides and then stop it abruptly. Good to know that no tapering is needed.
