I'm currently vegan for about
1 month and it has put my UC into remission after 1.5 year of flaring. I believe diet has a lot to do with the disease but as others said, everyone's different. When I was first diagnosed I started with SCD diet but after some time stopped tolerating animal protein and made the switch to a plant based diet. It worked, yay! But with every UC diet the key is not to eat processed food. Also cook your veggies, but you should know yourself. Good luck with the diet!
