Dear members,

I am a 24-year-old guy who has been experiencing the following symptoms for 3-4 months now: right-sided abdominal cramps (sometimes pain), lower back pain (somewhere in the middle where my spine is) and pain in my legs. I'm often feeling light-headed, faitgued (feeling kind of tired), bloated and constipated. My stool varies in color, shape and size: it is light brown, usually sticky, once it was really really dark and I saw yellowish mucus in it.

I visited a gastroenterologist and had the following tests: urine test, blood test, Weber-test (to check whether blood is present in the stool or not) and physical examination.

These are my results:

blood test: slightly elevated level of Immunoglobulin A and G, other values are in normal range.

urine test: high levels of calcium-oxalate crystals were present in my urine.

Weber-test: came back negative, so there is no sign of blood in my stool, therefore no intestinal (internal) bleeding is present.

I haven't consulted with my doctor about the results yet, but could these be the symptoms of Colitis Ulcerosa?

Welcome to the forum. Usually the predominant complaint that leads one to seek an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) diagnosis, such as Ulcerative Colitis, is blood in stool and you do not mention seeing any blood. Before I was diagnosed, I would see bright red toilet water after every bowel movement. Our diagnosis involves a negative stool test result for possible pathogenic causes, and a colonoscopy with biopsies.

It's possible you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Have you had an MRI? It could be so many things or nothing. If you feel it is serious enough I would demand one. Gallbladder comes to mind, kidney problems, IBS...honestly no way to know based on the information you have. What did your gastro doctor say?

Not trying to diagnose you but you have side pain and calcium-oxalate crystals. Did your doctor mention kidney stone? or gall bladder issue?

Does not sound like IBD but again I am not doctor. Hope you find the issue and cure soon.

I was thinking kidney stones too. I think the stool irregularities are coming form secondary pain and spasms form stones. BUT THIS IS NOT A DIAGNOSIS.

I had an abdominal ultrasound examination which showed neither gallstones, kidney stones nor any other abnormalities, so that is why I am a little bit confused.

The level of calcium-oxalate was high in my urine, but I told my urologist about this problem and he said that the urine might have been concentrated at the time of sample-giving. I also told him that I've got bowel issues as well, but he didn't say anything. confused confused

Have they tested you for celiac?
I know it can cause mucus, fatigue and other bowel problems.
But if you have been constipated that is more than likely the reason for a bit of excess mucus.
