I realize there have been numerous posts on marijuana's potential for ameliorating UC, however I haven't seen a whole of empirical evidence on this. I've seen the few popularly cited studies that suggest marijuana may have some benefit for people with IBD and have certainly read many anecdotal accounts of its healing properties, but I really wish that more extensive research on this would be conducted. Obviously marijuana's classification as a schedule I drug strongly inhibits any research on marijuana and UC (or other conditions).
I'm incredibly curious to see some sort of empirical research on marijuana and UC and have created this poll to get some estimation, albeit an incredibly crude one, of how effective marijuana is at treating UC. I'm interested to see if marijuana use has helped a significant portion of UCers. I thought that a poll might better provide a sense of whether UCers have benefitted from marijuana use (as opposed to a long jumbled thread consisting of many replies).
So I ask you to please respond to this poll if you have tried marijuana to treat your UC. I realize this poll is incredibly unscientific, but I'm still interested in seeing some actual numbers. Thank you!
(Note: I didn't realize poll results were not viewable unless you actually voted. I will try to provide an update of the results if people respond to the poll).
