Azathioprine and rash on hands and face

Hey everyone, I've had a stressful few weeks, so not been around.

I'm off prednisone and started with Aza, initially on 50g with the idea of upping it to 100g after a month.

So, I took 100g, one in the morning and one in the evening and half an hour later my eyes itched unbelievably, and then I woke up with a terrible bright RED rash all over both palms which have tiny little-raised lumps, like bites, also I have a rash on my face, very hard to see, but it feels like sandpaper..this isnt good is it?

I can't see how I can take this as it appears I have a problem with it. Not sure what my options are, to be honest I think I am just going to stop taking it and I have an appointment with my Rheumatologist in two weeks time and I am going to ask him for a prescription for LDN as my GI wont give it to me.

I actually knew before taking this that I would have problems due to my allergies.

What are your thoughts?

Was this the first day of taking the 50mg morning and 50mg evening?

It might be from the imuran, but you can't rule out that it's just a coincidence either.

Still, I think you need to get to a doctor to show them ASAP. If you can't get in, take pictures so you can show the doctor. And if it worsens at all, definitely go in ASAP.

Have you ever had similar rashes before? Any change in soap or lotion or shampoo or laundry detergent or anything like that?

Check with your doctor. I believe a rash that's a reaction to a medicine is body-wide, not localized to hands (but I could be wrong). Certainly need answers from a doctor.
