First let me start by saying I saw the gyne yesterday....nothing else she could do and said pain clinic should be dealing with me. As you know this isn't happening. She's referring me to yet another CRS. No idea why as I've seen 3. Basically I don't have gyne help now either.
Today I went for the HBOT assessment. I'm experiencing butt pain, but also feel incredibly drugged on 3000mg of gabapentin, 25 mg of nortriptlyne, 500mg of clarthomycin (sp?) and of course an overload of Humira.
Dr. said gaba was too high and I should go back to who prescribed it....that would be the gyne who I'm no longer welcome to see.
Anyway My dilemma:
HBOT- would be 5 days a week and a 3 plus hour commitment with commuting. The times aren't really flexible. The purpose of this is to heal the fistulas since Humira isn't really helping. I could start tomorrow. It's for at least 6 weeks.
Issue #1 -- side effects are poor vision which I'm already experiencing on gaba. This worries me.
#2-- bathroom urgency. He said it takes 7 min to decompress for me to then use the bathroom. I can't hold it. I only have 30 sec max. I could wear a diaper but laying in a soiled diaper for 7 min is gross, plus I'd be embarrassed. This is a big deterrent for me.
However, come Jan 9th a space opens up in the larger chamber where they accommodate 6 ppl at a time. There is a bathroom that I could use. This of course means delaying urgent fistula treatment.
#3 - obviously this a big time commitment. (I can't even commit to something this evening as I'm so ill). However, since most of my day would be tied up with HBOT I wouldn't likely have time for my chiro appointments which is very helpful for vag burning. ALSO thanks to SUZYQ she's set me up with a pelvic floor physio to help with burning and incontenience.
I don't think I could do both (or all 3 treatments) plus HBOT.
I don't know how to decide between fistula healing or chiro/physio for vag issues. Both are equally as urgent, both have completely disrupted my life, depression etc etc.
Any thoughts?
BTW I almost passed out when I was leaving. They had to lay me down, check bp etc. I'm so over drugged and in pain. I had to get someone to taxi down and drive me home. I hate inconveniencing people.
