Help Please!!!

So I haven't taken the Tylenol 3 for the past 2 nights (yay). Also, I have not seen blood in about 5-6 days (even yayer). Still doing hydrocort Enemas in the AM and PM.

However, when I have stool in me that has to pass I do get the stomach aches. Once the stool is gone the stomach aches go away and when I put the hydro cort enema in after the last bowel movement in the morning there is no more pain. Unfortunately, I can never release the stool in one shot (it comes out in lots of pieces and it's snake like and this happens 5-6 times. After I stand up more moves down and then I go again). Could this be because of inflammation? What it causeing this. From my last CT last week it showed inflammation in the rectum and sig. my doctor said it's low down.

I'm starting Uceris today. Could this help with the inflammation? How long does it take to work the Uceris?

Yes sounds like some moderate infammation remaining. The rectum is always the last to heal and gives us the most troubles, so I'd add a rectal-route medication (rowasa enema or a steroid enema).

Steroids like Uceris can work within a few days, take a week, or sometimes multiple weeks to kick in. It varies based on you having the right dose for your current inflammation.

One thing to note, Uceris is only for the very mild to slightly moderate end of the inflammation spectrum. If you have severe to moderate inflammation them you will not get an improvement from uceris and will need prednisone which is great for real severe inflammation.

So I took the Uceris at around 930. At 10:00 I got gassy and I think whatever stool was in me came pouring out! Was that from the Uceris or did I just have to go and everything came out of me. I was slightly gassy but now I feel totally fine. In fact I feel better. This morning I did have a slight upset stomach before I did take the Uceris.

Coincidence? It's not from the uceris, because it has a delayed-release coating that only releases medication once it reaches the large intestine. Not possible to travel that distance in 30 minutes.
