iPoop...remicade users...question on levels/antibodies...HELP

Hi guys. So I posted a couple weeks back that my GI and I are discussing dropping my remicade dose from 10mg/6wk to 5mg/6wk. I wanted a levels and antibodies test before anything changed.

Got a slew of bloodwork done less than 24 hours before my last infusion and just got the results. All bloodwork looks great.

My remicade level is 30! So my GI thinks cutting it in half will cause no problems. Plus 6mp was what put me in remission not the remicade at 10mg/kg.

I'm of course nervous to change anything because it took so long to get healthy again but my body feels weird after the infusion...like too much medicine with some stomach pain...and I feel so much better at the end when I have to get another dose.

Getting the info that the level was 30 was crazy. But then I noticed something on the report my GI didn't bring up. The last 2 times I got my levels checked they were high and no antibodies. Shown by <22 ng/ML.

This time I had a 28. With the report saying below. Does this mean I am developing antibodies???? Or is this something that's normal where they can come and go?? I know its a tiny amount but does this mean its going to increase??

I just don't know what this means. Reaching out to GI as well. I've been on remicade for 2 years in February and on 6 mp since June of 2016. My last level check was in June 2016 and I was <22 for antibodies--------------

All positive antibody results are verified by confirmatory
test.

Reference Range:

Yes 30 is just insane. It actually fits into that gas scenario you posted earlier. With flaring needing more and remission needing less. My last test was at 4 weeks at 10mg and the result a 24. I thought that was high but at a longer interval its even higher. This time was at 6 weeks at 10 mg. It has to be the 6mp working with the remicade.

My GI said that very minuscule levels can wax and wane. He said there is no impact what so ever on the remicade at that level, that its basically insignificant. And we will continue with a dosage drop. Not to worry just like you said He also said the 6mp would prevent anything further from forming - knock all wood. I'm hoping it just goes away and I'm back under the 22.

I will definitely be following my reports. Will most likely ask for another check after a few standard doses. Wish me luck!!!!!! Always get nervous changing anything!!!!!
