very bad joint pain on humira

i have had UC for 2 years and been on humira for one year and now i am having very bed joint pain. or is just the UC?

We had one poster Thoreau who said his joint pains were related to another biologic medication, remicade.

Is it recent? I had that towards the end with Remicade, really bad joint pain after the infusions. I was having a reaction to the Remicade, it went away after I discontinued it.

yes it is going on now. thanks for the good info i have been looking at this site for 2 years now all it has done was helped me

I would talk to your GI about it, you may have built up antibodies to Humira. There is a boood test to determine it with Remicade, I'm not sure if there is one for Humira.

My GI referred to my side-effects as "serum sickness". I had it will all the anti-TNF meds that I tried, Remicade, Humira, Simponi and Cimzia. Someone people only get it from one of the anti-Tnf meds others get it from all anti-tnf meds like myself.

Yes there's a serum and antibody test for humira/adalimumab called Anser ADA. I know Prometheus labs out of CA pioneered that test. It might be available as a generic from lab Corp and other labs by now (I don't know for sure).
