I had it, it produced good results I suppose. i had a really tough time with the test because of all the barium. It made me have to go to the bathroom, and you have to lay still in a tube for quite some time. I wasn't nauseous, but I had to run to the toilet a bunch of times before we got going. The nurse said if I moved, we would have to start over. It was long enough as it was - starting over would have meant being able to "hold it" longer and I could't hold it at all during that flare... I made it through luckily. I feel like if I had started a little earlier or later, I might not have been so lucky to get a clearing in toilet trips long enough to finish the test.
The pill cam, I believe, is a better test. My insurance wouldn't cover that test unless I did the MRE in advance. My MRE didn't show anything in the small intestine - I didn't need a pill cam.
