Foam Enema vs Liquid Enema

Just wondering if anyone knows which type of enema gets further up the colon, a foam enema or a liquid enema?

When I had my colonoscopy the Dr said that he could see that the steroid enemas in have been using have healed the rectum and sigmoid but there is and patch of inflammation higher up that the enemas can't get to. He's prescribed me budesonide foam enema (budenofalk) but I was wondering if the liquid version would get higher up the bowel. I thin,the liquid version is called entocort enema.

No oral meds yet, Im newly diagnosed after being hospitalised in January. The colonoscopist was going to give me oral mesalazine on Friday after doing the scope but when I said I had a reaction to the mesalazine enema he didn't give me any oral tablets. He just gave me a prescription for budesonide foam and said to stop taking the predsol enemas. I'm waiting for a follow up appointment but that could be a few months away.

The foam he's given me is budesonide foam. The brand name is budenofalk which I think might be the uk version of uceris? If that's case hopefully it will go as far as the liquid version then. I asked the pharmacist but she didn't know.

Thanks 3timechamp. Seen my GP today and he confirmed that the liquid budesonide enema would reach higher up the colon so he's given me a prescription for entocort enema. Hopefully the pharmacy will have it in tomorrow and I will be able to start it.
