Hi,
I am recently diagnosed with UC for 1 year now. I am on lialda 4x per day and am 5 weeks pregnant and Im seeing blood and mucous and having irregular bm. My GI dr put me on uceris and canas supp with hydrocortisone enemas. My GYN is not so concerned with the hydrocortisone enemes. I am eating very clean now. This is my first time being part of this forum but i can really use the help and experience from all of you.

Is it safe to be on hyrdocortisone in my first ?
How do I know when I can stop?
How important is vitamins and diet?

Thx for any help you guys can give.

It's pretty safe to be on the hydrocortisone enemas while pregnant. The biggest risk while pregnant is having a bad flare up of disease that gets out of control. So do what is necessary to keep the UC under control while you're pregnant. You can't take methotrexate while pregnant, but all of the other medications are considered safe during pregnancy. If you can control the UC flare with mesalamines (lialda) and uceris and canas and hydrocortisone enemas, that's good.

As for vitamins, work with your GYN and GI. Make sure you're getting enough folic acid.
As for diet, try to eat as healthy as you can, but of course eat what you can tolerate well.
Many people go on special diets for their UC, but I'm not sure that doing so while pregnant is a good idea.

I'm on day 2 of the hydrocortisone enema and I already feel better. No more blood and mucous.
I have really cleaned up my eating and I am being very mindful of what foods are agreeing with me.
I am also looking into gluten free and the scd diet that I keep reading about on this forum.

You are of course free to try gluten free and/or the scd, but doing so while pregnant may be such a restrictive diet that you don't get enough calories and nutrition. I'd be concerned about that. If you can do a diet like that and still get enough calories and nutrition, then it's ok to try.
